Titleist Pro V1x and Titleist Pro V1 Golf Ball Benefits

December 19, 2015 By Golf Pro Tips Leave a Comment

The Titleist Pro V1 and Titleist Pro V1x golf balls have been known to be the best and most trusted ball in golf and this doesn’t happen without reason.  Since Titleist announced the debut of the Pro V1 over ten years ago, it has become a golf sensation and the definitive ball of choice for professionals and amateurs.  The Titleist Pro V1 is commonly known as the ball that turned golf upside down.  This was said because of its superb distance, awesome feel and shot feedback through the shaft to the player, and also its superb spin with wedges and irons which Titleist calls “drop-and-stop green side control”.  It truly is remarkable that Titleist can incorporate so many benefits into one ball especially since years ago the golfer can usually only find one ball with one of these characteristics.

The Titleist Pro V1 golf ball is manufactured using three pieces; hence why it is called a “three-piece” ball.  Titleist achieved a super soft, but very durable compound for the cover which is made from urethane elastomer.  The inner cores of the ball are specially formulated and designed to give the best feedback with feel and of course the best distance without compromising feel.  The covers dimple patters are tetrahedral patterned which give the ball outstanding trajectory control and also extremely high capabilities of cutting through wind.  With all of these great characteristics, no wonder why it is considered the number one ball on the professional tours, both the PGA Tour and European Tour.

Titleist offers a very popular variation of the Titleist Pro V1 called the Pro V1x.  The Titleist Pro V1x was designed for a golfer who actually wants to lessen the spin from their shots.  An example for why a player would benefit from this is if they are slicing or hooking the ball, the spin on a ball contributes to how far out of the fairway the ball is going to miss, whether it’s right or left.  So in other words, if the ball is spinning more, that means that the ball will go even farther away from the target on miss-hit shots.  To eliminate this from happening to some degree, the Titleist Pro V1x does not spin as much, ultimately providing the golfer with better control.  It does have its downside though, the feel isn’t as soft as the original Pro V1 and since the spin rate isn’t as high the ball won’t hold the green as much as the Pro V1 will

Titleist continues to make improvements to the Pro V1 line of golf balls, making them more durable, longer, spin better and provide better feedback through feel.  As long as they continue to make a sensational ball for the game of golf, they will continue to be the leader when it comes to choosing the best ball for any player’s game.

Fantastic Golf Ball –Titleist Pro V1

November 11, 2015 By Golf Pro Tips Leave a Comment

The Tour-proven Titleist Pro V1 golf ball is designed for golfers seeking long distance, consistent ball flight and soft feel along with Drop-And-Stop™ greenside control for improved scoring performance.

The New Pro V1 features a large core that is soft and fast, with a urethane elastomer cover that enhances speed and spin and features 392 dimples. Its performance is longer than the original Pro V1, and the distance is more consistent from tee-to-green – but maintains what Titleist calls (and has trademarked) “Drop-and-Stop” performance into greens. Pro V1s are high-performance balls for high-performance golfers. For evidence, we cite some numbers from early results on 2003 professional tours: Seven of the first nine PGA Tour winners played one of the Pro V1 balls; so did the first three Champions Tour winners, the first Nationwide Tour winner and six of the first nine European Tour winners.

Titleist Pro V1 Golf Ball is packed with exclusive performance-oriented features that make it the ultimate in design for use by pros on the PGA Tour. A winner hands-down among serious golfers looking for power backed performance; the new and improved Pro V1 combines some of industry’s key technologies. Featuring a newly reformulated and larger core that provides soft feel and a redesigned thinner, Ionomeric casing layer contributes for improved Drop-and-Stop scoring it promises superior coverage than the original version. Ever see a Patent number on a golf ball? Of course not, there are no proprietary materials or manufacturing processes. The cores are a mix of different materials, the truth is from the cheapest to the most expensive golf balls the manufacturing costs difference is only 8 to 14 cents per ball.

Striking the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball triggers a blend of faster initial velocity, low spin and higher launch producing a flatter ascent and covering greater iron distance. Golf is a sport that to play you need to buy a lot of golf equipment. So it’s very important that you must own some resources of golf discount superstore, because they can save your money on the equipment fees. If you are not careful, golf clubs are the single biggest expense that you face. I strongly recommend Titleist Pro V1 Golf Ball in golf store shop. So discount golf equipments can go a long way toward making this expensive game more affordable.

Ask The Pro; What is Golf Ball Distance? by Knetgolf

November 9, 2015 By Golf Pro Tips Leave a Comment

Knetgolf.com is the world’s largest online retailer of premium used and recycled golf balls. Carrying brands such as Titleist, Nike, Maxfli, Topflite, Callaway, and many more, people often come to Knetgolf looking for the perfect ball to suit their golf game.

In order to make it easier for you, Knetgolf has a handy built-in ball-finder for those looking to improve certain aspects of their game by matching you with the perfect ball by looking at what you need and what ball best suits you.

So what is golf ball distance?

Golf ball distance is the distance a golf ball will travel within a single shot.

But how do we achieve distance? There are three main factors which determine the distance a golf ball will travel. This does not take into consideration the effects of wind and air resistance.

Key Factors of Golf Ball Distance

The distance a golf ball will travel is determined by:

initial velocity which is the initial speed of the ball
initial angle of flight, which is the angle at which it is hit into the air
Spin that has been imparted on the ball by the club

These three factors are significantly affected by a number of other external factors, such as the percentage of full contact hits, golf clubhead speed, and swing path. The interrelationship of these external factors greatly influence the distance that a golf ball will carry upon impact.

Golf Club and Ball Interaction in Determining Distance

It is the interaction between the golf clubhead and golf ball that determines how far a golf ball will travel, as well as its direction of travel. Without the right combination of initial velocity, initial angle of flight, and golf ball spin, the maximum golf ball distance cannot be achieved.

Scientific analysis of a ball’s flight shows that, at the moment of impact, certain characteristics of the club and ball interact with head speed, swing path and other factors to determine the three key elements of distance. The pertinent ball-related characteristics are the materials that go into its manufacture and structure. The pertinent golf club-related characteristics are the materials that go into its manufacture, head, loft and shape.

Once the ball is in flight, the shape and arrangement of its dimples will also affect distance traveled.

Three main keys to maximize golf ball distance:

Initial Velocity – This refers to the velocity of the ball leaving the clubhead at the moment of impact. Although initial velocity depends mostly on head speed, it is also affected by the materials used to manufacture the club head, loft, point of contact, swing path, the ball’s restitution, among other factors.

Initial Angle of Flight – This refers to the angle at which the ball leaves the club head upon impact. Initial angle is determined by the loft of the club, the angle of incidence, the degree of ball deformation, and the friction generated between the club and the ball. A club with minimal loft will produce smaller initial angles of flight when the ball being used is a spin-type ball.

Golf Ball Spin – This refers to the ball’s revolutions. Spin is determined by head speed, materials used in the manufacture of the club, club loft, and swing path, as well as materials that go into the manufacture of the ball. The lift created by back spin causes balls to travel along high trajectories, while poorly hit balls tend to spin sideways, which cause hooks and slices.

Golf Ball Back Spin

Backspin causes a golf ball to lift and as a result will yield a longer shot, while poor back spin may cause the ball to slice to the right or hook to the left.

It is pretty obvious that a greater initial velocity and larger initial angle of trajectory will produce a longer shot. Once your angle gets too large, you enter the zone of diminishing returns.  This means your distance will start to decrease again. Simple physics dictates that the optimum angle to achieve maximum distance is 45 degrees. However, with golf, due to the spin on the ball, air and wind resistance, and other factors, the optimum angle of trajectory is generally less than 45 degrees for maximum distance, and will vary from one golf scenario to another.

Remember ball flight laws only apply when proper Alignment is observed.

Titleist Golf Ball Success

September 4, 2015 By Golf Pro Tips Leave a Comment

Titleist on top at the old course as Oosthuizen takes control to claim 139th open championship. Seven stroke Open Championship victory for Pro V1 player Louis Oosthuizen as Titleist is the #1 ball for 31st consecutive year.

South African Louis Oosthuizen (Pro V1x) claimed the 139th Open Championship around the Old Course St. Andrews in a marvellous display of controlled and precision golf. The Pro V1x loyalist claimed the coveted Claret Jug by seven strokes from fellow Pro V1x player Lee Westwood, shooting a near flawless 71 to finish with a 272 total. The 27 year old became the fourth South African to claim the Open Championship by increasing his overnight 4 shot lead to an unassailable 7 stroke winning margin, the second highest winning margin ever in Championship history.

In a week that saw the most accomplished field in world golf gather to compete around the most recognisable golf course in the world, Titleist was the most resounding choice of golf ball with 90 players from a field of 156 choosing either Pro V1 or Pro V1x. The impressive tally of Titleist loyalists shadowed the nearest competitor (20) with more than four times their total and more than all other golf balls combined, ensuring that Titleist was the #1 ball at The Open Championships for the 31st consecutive year.

At the top of the leaderboard, Oosthuizen and Westwood were joined by fellow Pro V1x players Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson in the top five. Full line Titleist player McIlory recovered impressively after a tough second day to finish in a tie for third. McIlroy was playing a full bag of Titleist clubs including a 909D2 driver, 909F3 and 906F2 fairway metals, MB irons, Vokey Design wedges and Scotty Cameron Newport Fastback putter. The winner of the Amateur Silver medal was also using a full bag of Titleist equipment including Pro V1x, 909D3 driver, 909F3 fairway metal, AP2 irons, Vokey Design wedges, Scotty Cameron Coronado putter, to record an impressive top 15 finish. Across the entire field Titleist was the top choice in the iron (37) and wedge (110) categories.

Elsewhere Titleist Brand Ambassador Aaron Goldberg (Pro V1x,) captured his first Canadian Tour title at the Players Cup by one stroke. Oosthuizen and Goldberg’s victories boosted Titleist worldwide win count to 71, more than four times that of the nearest competitor with 16.

Another Major victory for the legendary Pro V1x and yet another Open ball count majority for Titleist provides further proof, that at the highest level, the game’s elite choose Titleist above all others.

More Durability–Titleist Golf New Pro V1 Golf Ball

September 2, 2015 By Golf Pro Tips Leave a Comment

Titleist’s two new versions of its Pro V1 golf ball will be on store shelves as of April, 2003. But they were on the world’s pro tours for months prior to that, and your golf guide was lucky enough to get a sneak peek as well.

The New Pro V1 has led the marketplace the past couple years. The Pro V1 is the ball you’ve been hearing about from Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson and others who have been hitting their drives 20 yards longer. The two versions of the Pro V1 utilize some of the same technology, but are tweaked to fit better with certain swing characteristics.

High-handicappers can enjoy the Pro V1s, but ultimately, a weekend hacker will hit them into the woods or water just as easily as an X-Out – but pay far more. No, the Pro V1s are geared to the serious – and seriously good – golfer who wants the best ball for his or her swing. When they hit the market, both will sport an MSRP of $ 56 per dozen. That’s one of the highest-priced balls on the market, and much more than any beginner, high-handicapper or once-in-a-blue-mooner should ever pay for golf balls.

Pro V1s are high-performance balls for high-performance golfers. For evidence, we cite some numbers from early results on 2003 professional tours: Seven of the first nine PGA Tour winners played one of the Pro V1s; so did the first three Champions Tour winners, the first Nationwide Tour winner and six of the first nine European Tour winners.

So it’s very important that you must own some resources of golf discount superstore, because they can save your money on the equipment fees. If you are not careful, golf clubs are the single biggest expense that you face. I strongly recommend Titleist Golf New Pro V1 Golf Ball in golf store shop. So discount golf clubs can go a long way toward making this expensive game more affordable.
